Ayahuasca Ceremony

Ayahuasca is the name for a group of plants that contain MAO inhibitors. A combination of different types of plants which contain several indole alkaloids including psychoactive substance D.M.T.

The name Ayahuasca comes from the Quechua language and can be translated as "the creeper of the soul." In Quechua means Aya, dead ancestor or soul; huasca means rope or vine, named for the type of Banisteriopsis liana, caapi, a main ingredient in one of the many different ayahuasca brews out there.

Ayahuasca is used by Indian tribes in powerful and healing rituals in the Amazon rainforests of South America. Where the use of it has started does nobody knows. The tradition is certainly a few thousand years old.

At the Iboga-Farm we work with various Ayahuasca brews containing combined psychoactive substance dimethaltryptamine (DMT) with an MAOI containing Harmine / Harm Aline.

The combination of these two materials ensures a very strong asset brew with a strong mind-altering effect.

So you can gladly return home after every experience with Ayahuasca, mother of inspiration, love and power.

It is important that you feel completely at ease before and during the Ayahuasca ceremony. By Ayahuasca is the set and setting very important to be able to go into your experience.

If you have arrived, often after a long journey and you are tired, you get a nice cup of tea and then there is plenty of time to relax in our cozy accommodation before we go ahead with the ceremony.

Our ceremonies are held only in small groups of 6 to 8 participants per ceremony so you can experience the most of the ceremony.

The ceremony is designed so that it is accessible to a broad group of interested persons.

The ceremony is designed so that it will feel good to suit all your motives or intentions.

Once you're all nice calmed down and got acquainted with us and the participants, we will first start with a short walk through the beautiful landscape where the Iboga-Farm is located so we could breath of fresh air. Upon return, the ceremony will start.

We will start with the intention of meeting. This is an important part of the ceremony because it is important to know for yourself what kind of intentions (goals) going into the ceremony. So you can get the most out of your trip.

The intentions may be pronounced in the group and / or symbolically in the form of a sacrifice or talisman to be placed on the altar. This is obviously not mandatory but recommended. If the intentions were discussed, we proceed to drink the Ayahuasca.

We put the inner journey continues in the (silent) ceremony room where your journey is carried in while enjoying serene meditative sounds. There will always be present accompaniment to the ceremony room there for guarantees that you are as comfortable as possible and continue its process. Doing the supervisor (s) to be still present and provide assistance where needed.

Ayahuasca is an inner and personal deep cleansing process by which each makes his or her way. Since we, the team, be very aware of it and will do everything to give you the settings you need at that moment. Several times Ayahuasca will be donated.

You may drink several times so that the amount is tailored to your personal needs. It is also possible to leave the (silent) ceremony room during the ceremony so you can talk or move in an equipped room without disturbing the others in their process.

Because we feel strongly about a free experience of your ayahuasca experience. When the ceremony is over, you have the opportunity to eat and drink. It is also nice this time for some to talk about their experience.

For people who do not need that remains the quiet room for rest and sleep so that everyone has a good ceremony. After the ceremony you can sleep through the night so you will be rested completely the next day and can go back home, looking back on a unique experience here with us at the Iboga-Farm.
